A MYSTERIOUS ADAPTATION OF STEPHEN KING “MR. HARRIGAN’S PHONE”

A DRAMATIC SUPERNATURAL FEAR

Adapted from the work of Stephen King, known as the king of horror literature, Mr. Harrigan’s Phone has been released on the Netflix platform. Adapted from the short story in the master author’s short story collection book If It Bleeds, this production tells the audience a transitional drama that is mostly mystery, rather than suspense and horror. While the film touches on the sociological and community relations of the individual on the one hand, on the other hand, it presents to the audience what happened to a teenager who was bullied at school, blending it with the supernatural horror genre. Emphasizing the importance of father-son and friendship-friendship relations, the production presents guiding aphorisms about life by showing us examples from classical literary works. It stars Academy Honorary and Primetime Emmy Award-winning veteran actor Donald Sutherland and American actor Jaeden Martell, he has also appeared in other films such as ‘It’ (2017) and ‘It: Chapter Two’ (2019) based on the works of Stephen King. Directed by American filmmaker John Lee Hancock, the producers of the film are Blumhouse Productions, which has produced low-budget but successful horror-thriller productions, and Ryan Murphy, he is known for his works such as American Horror Story, Nip/Tuck, Popular, Glee.
