HOMOGENEOUS TIME
In this future world she has arrived in, we see that human values are commercialized by making them economical and thus society and culture take the form of a kind of commodity. Another important detail is that the character of Conner Penske, who travels in time, does not want to go back to the past and wants to live in the future. Here, we encounter the concept of “Homogeneous Time” by the French philosopher Henri Bergson, an influential thinker in the tradition of analytical philosophy and continental philosophy, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1927. Bergson in 1893; At Henri IV High School, he gives lectures devoted to the basic concepts of metaphysics, covering the subjects of space, time and matter. At lesson II; he deals with the subject of time; “What we call homogeneous time is the ideal setting, the stage for all succession, an impersonal time that explains the common in all personal durations.” he explains the concept of Homogeneous Time.

THE PERIPHERAL
In Ther Peripheral series, we see that the anarchist ideology, in which the search for social peace and unity comes to the fore both in the future and in the near future, lies at the base. This vision of life, which embraces nonviolence and pacifism, shows its effect in the time that embraces both chaos, accompanied by Flynne Fisher. Anarchism, whose ideological origins date back to Cynism and Stoic teachings in the West, took its present form in the XVIII century. The prominent name in this modern period is; English philosopher William Godwin, who has done important work in fields such as political philosophy, journalism and literature. Godwin in particular; He was influenced by the philosophy of the English philosopher John Locke, who laid the foundations of liberalism, the science of the English scientist Isaac Newton, the ethics of Francis Hutcheson, one of the architects of the Scottish Enlightenment, and the freedom understanding of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, an important philosopher of The Age of Enlightenment. He made great contributions to libertarianism and freedom thought, breaking new ground in political philosophy.
THE PHILOSOPHICAL FOUNDATIONS OF ANARCHISM
According to Godwin, the key to liberation is reason, and morality is a source from which basic axioms must be acquired. Godwin, in his work, The Philosophical Foundations of Anarchism, which had great repercussions during his lifetime; “Morality is a system of behavior determined by the consideration of the maximum public interest.” He states that the citizen who serves the public interest deserves the greatest moral character. The character of Flynne Fisher, who appears as a representation of virtue and morality in the series, acts morally for the welfare and happiness of the people around him (as Godwin stated), and applies Godwin’s philosophical system.
The Peripheral, which was shot in the USA-North Carolina and England-London, is a production that science fiction and mystery lovers will enjoy.
